Now I have it all. I have two amazing patterns and the yummy yarn to make the patterns come alive and become masterpieces. I also have my ongoing love affair with Twisted Fiber Art on solid ground. Thank you Beth. If you haven’t already visited Twisted Fiber Art, I suggest you immediately get on your iPad or computer and visit their website. Bet you can’t buy just one.
I have talked about my love affair with Twisted Fiber Art, the fabulous fiber and the amazing staff. Let me tell you my latest story of not only the beautiful cake of Evolution I bought but how it was custom made just for me. First let me show you the pattern that led to my search for the perfect yarn. I don’t even remember where I first saw this, I just knew that I had to make it. I didn’t only have to make it, I had to find the perfect yarn. In this case there needed to be two stars in this project Kyle Vey’s spectacular pattern Wingspan and the ombré yarn which would turn it into a master piece. I started looking and thinking, but the answer was right under my nose. I knew it was Twisted Fiber Art colorway Mermaid in Evolution. I needed 800 yards but the largest cake the TFA Glamour (80% Merino, 10% Cashmere and 10% Stellina which provided the sparkle) I chose came in was 750. I didn’t want to purchase two cakes and not get the continuous Evolution from pink to green. I contacted TFA and Customer Service Extraordinaire Beth came to the rescue. She said to purchase a medium at 360 and a large at 500 and request they be put together and dyed as a 860 yard cake. I did just that and this is what I just got in the mail. Isn’t it spectacular!?!?!?! It is exactly what I wanted. I think it will be one of the most amazing treasures I’ve ever knit. It makes me catch my breath and my heart palpitate. If that isn’t fearless, crazy Fiber Love, I don’t know what is!!!! Then I discovered another pattern. This is the sensational Sail by Kulabra Designs. I have bought several of Natalia Moreva’s patterns like Fan-tastic. I fell in love with Sail and was looking for the perfect yarn. Once again, TFA and Mermaid came to the rescue. This is the Mermaid colorway in Tasty Classic Striping. Tasty is one of my favorite base yarns. It is 80% Merino, 10% Cashmere and 10% Nylon. It will become Sail when I decide what contrasting color I want.
